the new bmw coupe is actually 50mm longer than the saloon.

I think all the crs now have to be saloons eg 4 or 5 door, it to avoid cars like honda integras, bmw coupes which would be faster than everything else.

aerodynamics, stiffer chassis
the integra has double wishbones all round as standard so would be an advantage and for instance the bmw coupes have a very different chassis from the saloon like the window is sloped further back with a lower roof line than the saloon.

Why do you think Vauxhall went from the Astra Mk5 to the Vectra.

Purley becuase they were loosing 5+mph down the straights so they moved to the Veccy platform.

Same reason they used the Mk4 Astra saloon instead of the hatch a few years back.

Shorter cars with higher boots create huge amounts of drag behined the car. The lower boot lever means less turbulance behined the car which equals less drag and more top speed.

I must admit, he does treat it as bumper cars and write off a lot of cars...

= more expense than results.

Chilton - good choice! expect that focus to see a lot of gravel / tirewall / othercars!

really nice chap though!



Focus does look a bit odd, the livery does nothing for it.
