Because they want to?

I don't get down about what I spent?

I get down about what I can't afford to buy now, not what i've spent in the past..

I very rarely spend more than the car could sell for if you get me.Dont like to loose out on too much.
Also i make sure if im changing something, then the parts that are replacing it sell to cover the costs of the new parts.lol.

Right well the 2 main cars i have ploughed money into are my old red sport/valver. I spent....

£4005 excluding the price of the car and bought the car for £2800.

My current one i have now so far it is.....

£2066 exclyuding the price of the car and bought the car for £6500. Before the summer comes add on another £2014 and thats before any up in power.

Its all good and then when i have had my fun sell and put towards a house.

Even though its 5/6 years since I sold the Corsa I still have every receipt for everything we bought somewhere. Including buying the car it comes to around 15k. Don't regret it, was young and stupid but I could afford it so I don't see the problem.

Something worse to think about would be, how much have you spent of car insurance (and possibly never used it!)

x3 sets of wheels.
x3 suspension setups.
x3 modifications to exhaust system, well over £1k in total.
x3 different audio systems, last one producing over 143d
1 engine conversion
Bucket seats, retrim.
x3 different brake setups, Std, 2.0 16v with upgraded discs n pads, V6, V6 + Rear discs
Various experiments, like buying a C20LET engine just randomly as I thought i'd put it in, then didn't

Mopney comes n goes. You buy things, you sell things. 8 Years is easy to spend the money I did.

Think Donnas largest single bill from Carisma was £6k. But then it went back there 3-4 times..........

I've not spent alot on modifying cars as both my Corsa's were already built when i bought them

Bro bought the blue one for £8K new i believe, and spemt the best part of £10K on it.

Fad must have spent easily £5K+ on the red one i think (to the spec when it was sold)

Its suprising how quickly it all adds up.

I went through a chroming phase with my astra, and I easily spent 1200 on get bits done,

Then hoses, I changed every hose I could with samco, including the fuel lines! and I reckon that was going on a £1000 as well

Then with engine rebuild ands get mugged with shit parts/maps, was well over £10,000
