as for the polo never driven one but the ibiza's are pretty much the same. i like mine just very dull to drive, not one you can go on a 'spirited' drive with.

Bit out of your price range but I think it looks loads better than the Polo.
With the Polo's, all they seem to do with the Sport it give it fog lights and alloys. At least the Ibiza's look a bit 'sporty'.

With my sport, depends on what options are selected from factory.
Mines got leather, heated seats, climate control and a 6 CD changer

tbh Monster, in your price range I'd be going for a Fiesta Zetec S TDCi faster than the 1.4's out there, relatively low insurance group, 55+mpg and £35 tax p/a. Can't beat it tbh.

Whilst I don't doubt the build quality and 'betterness' of a Polo or Ibiza over say Corsa or Fiesta, I don't think there is really that much in it.
Although pow's is a high miler, he has replaced bushings and all sorts on his - not what I'd expect from a sub-100k VAG.
If you're going VAG, out of principle I wouldn't go Polo for the pure fact the Ibiza is nearly identical (especially underneath which is all that matters) yet cheaper.

well my mates 1.9 polo had new front ARB bushes, it snapped an engine mount and had a leaky break caliper, all under 65k
you get good ones and bad ones of every car

But then the 1.4's don't look 'sporty'.
Monster - I'm not 100% sure but I think there was an issue with water pumps on the 1.4TDCi Ford engine u2u Ben G, he builds them

I'll go with Ford I think, I love those little Mk5's. Cheap, well built. But, Ben will be getting 100 u2u's before I buy
Will ford buy my curised corsa?

Curised? If you mean modified?! I don't see why not, they'll take anything these days to get rid of cars.

I'll sell it standard as they'll offer me less due to the alloys, and i'll get £300 for them I would of thought

After looking on the internet, the 1.4TDCi seems to have had a few problems
