Based on the half an hour I had in one when I was 17

It was stupidly uncomfy the steering when going slow was too heavy the clutch was too heavy it was really bumpy at normal speeds, much prefered the impreza I drove for the same length of time before it

was quick and handled well though, sounded sweet too

I wouldn't necisarily base that impression on all ferraris though.

Those work horses are meant to go round and round a track all day long, they're not going to be a good example of a normal ferrari 355. I wouldn't be surprised if it has a uprated clutch to handle the abuse (hence heavy) and maybe even different suspension.

Looking at that front wheel and the arch, it looks like the ferarri 355 is lowered - they usually sit quite high up (unfortunately).

Yeah that 1 you drove was probably not a good example.

My manager done one of those Days up at Knockhill but it was in a 360 and he said it was a heap. The clutch was pretty much fuked and he couldnt get any gears. Was a big let down.

They aren't going to be good examples.

They get worked like dogs, day in and day out to recoup the costs of buying the things in the first place and must inevitably get driven badly and maintained on a shoestring.

They are probably salvage or repo or similar in the first place so as to reduce initial outlay also.

SVM 286 I've also heard about them being rev limited and the instructors not letting them push it / getting them to change up early... so often in most cases it's barely on cam (i.e. changing up at 4-5k where the car revs to 9k).
