so you are going to buy it at the start of summer when convertibles are at their most desirable and then sell it at the end of summer when nobody wants them

how can you not afford the mpg but afford to buy a car for a couple of months??
Doesnt add up to me, convertibles are not usually designed with economy as a priority. Untill now at least.
Howm many miles do you plan on doing?
Not having a go just cant seem to follow the logic

Yeah Ive seen a few nice ones with tax & mot for around a grand. Desirable car aswell so easy to move on when needed.
1.8 8v's a piece of pish to work on too & cheap for parts.

I do a minimum of 250 miles a week at the moment - doing private work in the summer which involves mileage as well - and I'd rather not use a tank a week (£35 is a tank for me now).
Selling ibiza, putting money away, buying cheap cabriolet. Also needs to be a cheap to insure jobbie because Kirsty who has only been driving a year wants to be insured on it.
Dunno what is happening with my job come September, so I'd get shot of cheap cabrio and buy something suitable to the job:
Lots of miles: Similar to Ibiza
Hardly any miles: Petrol and fast
May even get a company car with some jobs i've been looking at!
