I hear what you mean with that, I test drove a 182 and wasnt impressed at all felt lardy and that I had to rag it compared to the TDCi

Carrying on from above although I knew it was faster, its the way the power is delivered, now im used to having a non turbo engine again I love the way the 172 pulls and it does feel fast compared to the Mondeo, it really is a quick car especially now with the proper wheels and decent tyres. I wouldnt go back to a diesel now unless I start to do alot of miles again, just nowhere near as fun.

Edit: It takes me back to the raw driving style of my Mk3 C20XE'd Astra... harsh suspension will take getting used to though, I will defo NOT be putting it on coilovers

I never compared them, I was agreeing that it FELT slower. If you read the bit below I mention its totally different power delivery.

I know the fella kept them on the hunt for some...

£400, mainly cause the tyres are like new, got £170 for the old ones so works out £230

Diesel comments:

Thts the problem, they feel quick due to the low down tourque but they just arnt.

I had a play with a 2004 civic type s 1.6 and it was right up my arse i couldnt pull one bit in a Passat 2.0 tdi! I woul of said he were so slightly quicker ( about a 40 - 90 mph roll)

And before anyone comments on driving, i now how they rev range works etc

Mine will be higher than most of the models that have these wheels, as mine should have these
wheels on. These are off the cup, and the cup are lower.

Rims look pretty small, but i'm sure after a drop, they'll look better.
