Red is the fastest colour Adam. Your heckling rights are revoked whilst you're driving your rickshaw.

UK car, lots of nice extras, cheaper to insure.
Lovely
Needs to be black or silver and wearing original rims or Atevs/Azevs though.
Owner needs spelling lessons also.

dont they use something like a whole tank of oil to every 3 tanks of fuel used? and a whole tank of fuel goes very quickly once you give them abit of stick
i think they are lovely cars and supposed to handle very well but there are cars out there that are much cheaper to run that offer similar performance. what ive heard about the running costs on these they probably cost more to run and maintain than an e46 m3 yet something like an ep3 ctr will give one a very good run for its money(rx8)
if you want a good handling rev happy coupe/2 seater then what about an s2000 or even a toyota celica(190bhp yamaha engine)
theres a reason why rx8's are a bargain at the moment and there is loads for sale....

theres a reason why rx8's are a bargain at the moment and there is loads for sale.... Because people are panicking and buying ethnic peace bicycles instead?

The Maw's got one and she's happy as fuck with it. She drives about 80 miles a day to work and back and still loves it after a year of having it - she's actually thinking about selling it and buying a newer (2nd hand) one. Think I'm gonna have to persuade her to go for the 231 this time instead though, the 197's slower than my corsa and she contantly gets reminded of it
The actual car is beautiful I'd say. The Maw's has the red and black leather and it's a brilliant place to sit. So comfy, steering wheel's in a great position, nice radio, dials are stunning and as well as that I can get in, out and sit comfortably in the back with no bother and I'm 6ft.
She's had a problem with the oil pipes before but that got sorted asap because it was a recall. It needs oil more often than a normal car but, as with non-rotary engined cars, as long as you look after and service it properly it runs sound.
Great cars in my opinion.

Drove one and loved it.
Couldnt comment on the running costs or petrol but massively underated car and skid pan instructor showed us all how sideways and can go and be controlled.

Well as for the stupid comment post etc etc...
I used to WORK at a dealership. They had at least 1 in a week getting either a new engine or a rebuild.
I'd say scoobys etc needing rebuilds IS a stupid comment..that's down to people not looking after them properley.Novelty crap engine..end of.
Honda's VTEC dosn't need rebuilding so why bother with a rotary

Prove the fact that they need a rebuild?
Im sorry but this is a pointless reason for arguing a mazda performance engine when scoobs and evos and what not also need rebuilds constantly!
I've given up arguing with people who just regurgitate "facts". If you had a 1.3 piston engine that revved to 9k and produced 300+ bhp and lasted for 60k miles you'd be over the moon
Mine only popped due to poor maintenance (read "none") by a previous owner. And even when it blew, it still did a thousand miles and 1 1/2 laps of the Ring.
Ash i wouldn't have one! That's the point

I'm no expert mate but i can tell you now i have a lot more basis of knowledge that most guys on here.
I should have said 'Higher' mileage cars in my first post.
IMO these cars are nothing special at all and the engine is nowere near special enough to 'Warrant' a rebuild so early in there life.
What car have you got Nic and how old are you?

no your not. im not 19.
isnt it that you find with the rotary engine, if they aint had a hard life they fail quicker? weird that really. mate of mine works on them, says theyre good car. not all that. but not as bad as your making out.
then again. you drive a clio.
