hence I've just noticed your going to sell your yaris and replace it with the mini - YES sorry but you would be clinically insane
So many mixed opinions But tbh I expected that. Why do you think I'd be insane? Because it constantly needs work?

You've got a really nice reliable car already, I think you'd be mad to sell it for a classic mini.
On saying that, as I already said they're great fun, but not for a daily 50 - 60 mile drive each day especially if its your depending on it to get too and from work
Maybe I'm being a bit unfair, mines was maybe in the minority

If you do it and you find you can't live with it on a day to day basis then you could always buy another T-sport.

There a tiring drive imo, mind we went to Callender for a drive & by the time we got home I was battered & bruised & in pain - bleeding at the ears & needed a lie down!
IMO ok car to have tucked away for the good weather for a drive, but as an everyday car it would be my last choice!!

Yeah for once I agee with you
Thats a plan actually, get ours MOT'd for the Summer and I'll drive mine with my top off and you can drive the Classic with your top off

i couldnt drive one every day, great cars - handle brilliantly, sound amazing and loads of fun but just not all that practical in my opinion
reliability is only really a problem if you dont keep on top of it. most things arent that difficult to fix
theres a guy in gateside that works on mini's, looks to be able to do just about anything with them and is very helpfull
he might have or know of some being sold localy

Classic mini =
hahahaha (30mins)
then OUCH my back, elbow, ass, neck....etc
Then, £££££££££££££££££££££££ repair
REPEAT!

They are fun to drive, for a lil while, Ive never laughed so much in my life at how funny driving a car was. But it does come with pain, both personally & finantially.
That pretty sums up my experience. Hopefully get it sorted up & MOT'd for some more laughs & pain this summer

LOL 3 mini's - brave man!! Or is that to keep one on the road & 2 as spares!?
Jades will be sold at some point however id prefer it to be MOT'd to maximise its value. Another 2 months i'll start my shifts & then i'll have weeks at a time to work on it, I should get stuck well into it then & have it on the road in no time.
I might rebuild the engine aswell if I have enough time!?

Colin + Jade, thanks for the advice! Gonna have a drive in one and see what I think of it - love it or hate it I guess. But I'll have to make sure it's a good'un or there's no point I guess!

My mate used to drive from Leven to dundee every morning in his old race tuned mini, Eck might know of the mini too, fieldy's purple flip jobby
He hated it and hated spending the money on it
I would say take one on a long drive and see how you get on

drive one and try it, its like marmite
youl be surprised at the room inside for such a small car, i loved mine (pics in my garage) and would take another in a heartbeat, longest journey was 11 hours and i only started to have a numb bum and im not exactly a weedy fella however maybe thats cos my one had softer suspension and cumfy armchair type seats as i didi find kirsts mpi stiffer but cant remember the furthest i went in that!
there like everything if you get a good one youl be laughing but get a bad one and your in for a shock!
oh and owning a mini is becoming part of the best community in the world
can you tell i like them
