I would go for the corsa only due to seeing how the clio's are built, I no the clio in someway's is a better car IE handling and fun factor, but i feel the safty of the corsa would out weigh the clio by a long shot

Yeah it was mate and I love it but I was initially holding out for a white 197 around 10k and none were coming up As it is I'm quite glad as I love the van and saved a few ££££ in the process.

Yer I was the same had about 10k to spunk on a car but just spent 5 in the end on a civic. Kept 5k in the bank and havent looked back. lots of car for the money

I think after think about this more if its never going to have anything changed/modded etc in the future I would take the clio.

Win, for that price brilliant. But residuals if you care about those sort of things aren't that great. You only have to look at 172/182's at the moment to see how much they have fallen in the past couple of years.

It's a good point, they don't go for much nowdays. There's not really anything to compare the Corsa with as it's so different from the old SRI's in terms of spec

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/846056.htm

That's not bad value either, although it does have 23K on the clock. But high mileage isn't a problem as I won't be using it much

What's that website where you can check depreciation?

What would you buy?

Boxster S, 350Z or a cat D VX220 Turbo. Obviously you would be sacrificing warranty and such, but hey ho thats just me

For going to hockey training, biggish bag & need to fit a stick in somehow. Any hatchback tends to cope

I was choping the S2 in for a 330 CI Sport Vert, they are soooo nice, have everything you could want and plenty of power and good on fuel.

...But jobs in the pipeline at the mo so would be a bad move by me, but the minute i know my job is secure im gonna go ahead with it!
