S5 is ok, but I'd rather an M6 if we're going for that sort of motor. Like the SL too but getting on a bit now, not keen at all on a RR Sport, too chav/builder image IMO.

Probably will get the M3 but I do like 911s so will have a butchers, I did actually see a nice 997 recently that went for a song!!

And yeah I run a business selling post war design furniture & art so that's what I deal in if any coppers are sniffing about

Maserati Quattroporte is by far the best suggestion, if they have dropped enough.

Maybe even a few year old Aston Martin.

I wouldn't buy a porkie, just another porsche on the road, they all look the same, usually driven by the same kinda people.

S5, but you don't like the RS4, which is the next suggestion.

What about an Audi R8?? Sure out of budget now, but Audi are just about to release the new V10 version, with a bout 80bhp more and much better styling. V8 prices will plummet!!!!!

What about a few year old Audi RS6 like Stu has??? Lot of car for the money.

Alfa Romeo Brera, or the new Spider (unsure of costs).

Yeah I do like the Massa I much prefer the Coupe though, seen one about a year old that went through auctions at 45k odd IIRC. R8 is very nice, might keep my eye on them and wait a bit...needs to be able to hack daily use really, which puts 355s/360s and the like out of the window really.

I doubt it, they'll not drop much if anything because the new one comes out.

If I had 35kish

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/829728.htm

or

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/561481.htm

Although for a Clubsport thats reletively cheap for 35k you'd get a 996 mk1 but some of the mk2's are creeping down a lot

Not a chance in hell will R8's drop to £35k, V10 version or no V10 version

Do I know anything about how a car prices is going to fall when a new model comes out, of course not.

Its an opinion, and my opinion is that R8's will drop.

But as I also said, it MIGHT drop into budget, not it WILL drop
