This is nothing, it's only the first day! If it goes through insurance it'll take a while.
I had a clear cut case where the other guy admitted fault and it still took 2 months.

I went wild when I got out the car  The red mist apeared and that was it lol
They lad has just rang me. Hes coming down with his dad tonight who is so say a painter and wants to see the damage. No way am i letting some randomer paint it! He either gives me the ££ to get it fixed myself or im going through the insurance..end of

Although it's his fault there is no point getting uptight about it, it doesn't make things easier for you or him! If he is a painter, find out a bit more, if he seems decent enough why not let him do it? Just make sure you are happy with the finish if he does it.

tell him not to bother coming down. if it goes through the insurance have a word with the boss and say you want a fw other bits doing whilst its there. thats what i did, extra work and money for them, and free bits for you  tell his dad and him to gtf

sorry to hear about the accident mate. i know what it's like, i've been in 2 non fault accidents.
had to admit 50/50 about the first one because the bloke was a complete prick who pulled out on a roundabout instead of giving way, and the 2nd a van decided to m the side of my corsa.
believe me, it takes ages for insurance to sort things out, they're a bunch of idiots.
don't let anyone come round to see the damage, send photo's to the other parties insurers if they want to see the damage.

If your 18 you can get a courtesy car It took 2months for my golf to have the bumper sorted when a cunt reversed into me even, cos he had filled the back of his car up so couldn't use the rear view mirror!
