In the summer I do it pretty much weekly but this time of year it's slipping to every 3-4 weeks.

It's not been polished or waxed since August

Washing your car does not take off paint, thats what polish is for.

If you clay and wax twice a week you're doing something majorly wrong, that wil be eating at your paintwork.

If you are waxing properly the rubbish from the trees should come off no bother if you wash twice a week.

Use a decent wax, none of this liquid based out of a bottle shit.

Something like P21s or Petes 53. Both are only £20 and are MUCH better than megs tech wax or gold class

meguire's clay is a soft clay and is designed not to damage paint's of any kind when used with the quick detailer

used it every weekend for a year on my old car and never had any problem's with it ever!

It doesn't damage the paint when you use it, it will if you're using it twice a week.

If you're wasting money on £50 plastic bottles for snow foam you might as well buy a wax that lasts more than 3 days.

Seriously I cant understand how people can clay their cars more than twice a year and wax it each week...providing you use decent products i.e not the shit that you buy off the shelf in Halfords you shouldnt need to wax it that often.

Even using the stuff from halfords you don't have to do it that often, meguiars and autoglym stuff isn't that bad, especially for the price you pay.

come see the car and you will see that there's not a single swirl or scratch anywhere and the wax last's alot longer than 3 days mate just i chose to wax each week just to keep on top of it!

so what if i clay twice a week it's has'nt and wont do any damage aslong as it's done right

mate if you clay your car twice a week there will be maring marks and light swirl marks, only they're hard to spot on silver. stick the car under a set of halogens and it will open your eyes a bit

claying a car twice a week is obsessive imo. it would not be nearly as dirty after a couple of days to need a clay again

Not even vxr marc would do that because it's just stripping your car down to the bare paint to start all over with waxing again, instead of just building up coats of wax, it's a total waste of energy.

no, everytime you use something like T-cut it does, water and soap won't do a lot to your paint TBH.

I keep meaning to do it then it rains and washes it a bit, so then put it off again, rains again, put it off again. hasn't been washed for ages but isn't that dirty.
