Yeh I had to convince him not get the F1 gearbox. Very expensive if they break too which isn't good. He did drive one and he said the auto-clutch was far to snappy and nearly broke your neck when it came in!

So some employees have greater job security than others within the firm?
The son who has been there a small amount of time is more secure than say a non-related employee of many years?

Sounds unfair to me.

Too true. I have been into my music for many years but when I realised it's not going to happen I mentioned doing a bit for my Dad. He was over the moon when I asked him and said he's always wanted me to work for him. The first 6 or months were difficult but I'm slowly working up and learning everyday. Plus I really enjoy the trade and knowing that I have a stable job with great prospects for the future. And the fact that my Dad is proud of me and my work, well thats worth its weight in gold to me.
