I was at that Hemel Meet with Stubbsy and Jaffa in Jaffa's corsa.

It's such a shame that the scene has changed so much, back then it was fun and people travelled for miles to meets

Cheers for the comments guys.. it was a bit of a one off when it was baby blue. that kit was made up from loads of different cars lol.. bits of Civic, CRX, BMW and total custom jobbies. made sure nobody tried to copy..

the modified car scene has changed a wee bit yeah..

i remember the national meet in some valley country park.. oop north somewhere and there were LOADS of us..

Its strange considering we're talking about it like it was a lifetime ago, yet it was only 4/5 years.

The whole point back then was to be individual with modifications, it was rare to see two identical cars, most had unique touches here or there; borrowed bits from other cars; now a lot of modified cars have started to become identical - Speedlines and GSi Kits for example.

I'd still rather see an outlandishly modified car with thought gone into it than a replica GSi etc

I don't think bodykits have ever been the "done thing"

i think its just a phase people go through before they reach their mid-20's.
