I was desperately after an S2000 at the right price for ages (before my accident) and did a lot of looking into them.
Not very tuneable unless you S/C it, and then you'll have it wheelspinning in third when you give it some - personally I'd stay away.
Known to be a bit unforgiving in the wrong hands, but you'd be perfectly fine Paul.
I'd have snapped Nismos up at that price a few months ago, but situation changed and all that.....

Oh, and handling is (apparently) superb - what it lacks in raw power should be counteracted by 50:50 balance.
Plus (apparently) one of the best gearboxes in a 'regular' sports car.

Paul, i'd say sell up and get the s2k if you can justify the extra folding. Although, it'd be, what, 4K on top of what you get for the gti?
I can think of a lot better things to spend 4large on than a car.
Rory long time... no see on CS.
Yeah that's about right Myke... but what better things are there to spend the money on?
I can't think of any... House? (not in this current financial / housing climate).
Clothes / Watch / Other pointless posery stuff? nah - now that is a waste.
Long Holiday / Round the World trip... oh right, done.
...? ? What are you suggesting 4k would be better spent on?

I drove an S2k and was really impressed with it
only reason I didnt get one is I wasnt sure if I would miss the extra seats and boot space. and the ctr was cheaper on insurance for me.
lot of car for the money at the moment. old shape ones can be had for 6K easy

Well, a house would be my priority. If you don't want to buy somewhere now, then why not stash the cash away and save it for when the time is right? Or rather not pay out on an expensive loan now and leave you with less when it really matters.
A car is only going to depreciate more over time.

get the vtec, yo!
