Pretty much as far as it takes tbh.

My Corsa came from Wimbledon, 1st Ibiza from Reading, Clio from somewhere near Brighton and the 2nd Ibiza from Mingham

when i was looking in may/june i couldn't find any decent UK DC2s around my area so i had arranged to look at afew afew hours travel down south, would have meant a full day out driving and looking at cars but desperate times call for desperate measures.

fortunately one came up for sale in liverpool afew days before i was due to go looking at the others and it was perfect. the rest is history.

My brother was looking at Audi A3's a while back, they all seemed to be around Hudersfield way but they all come up at different times. The amount of times we drove an hour and half over that way to look at 1 car was stupid. The money he spent travelling could've give him probably another £500 towards a local car

i did a 200 mile round trip for my bro's bmw, then another 400 odd miles to deliver it to him as a surprise from my parents. i can imagine it being very annoying doing a long trip to view a car and its not what you expected.

I'd be prepared to travel 50 miles to a private sale and 100 miles to a garage.

As fazza said get the seller to e-mail you as many in detail photo's as possible. Im extremly fussy as i am a valeter and have bad ocd i won't buy a car unless its immaculate, i normally ask for pics of the footwell so you get an idea of what condition the interior is in and close ups of wheels and bumpers. Im sad i know

Me and my mate went from Fife to Canvey Island(Essex) for a Nova.Dunno how may miles but im sure it was just under 1000 theyr and back.Went down in a tranny mini-bus with a trailer and took about 9hrs to get theyr then abit more to get back up.What a journey tho and a great laugh. All fuelled by Redbull and some George W.BUSH.

The Nova was a GSI with an XE and it was bought from an insurance write-off yard and turned out to be worse than the pics made out.Itl be a minter when hes finished with it tho.
