Fruitbooter, i also have an interst in DJing, so recnetly ive aquired some software called Virtual DJ, i wouldnt say i was brilliant, but with a little playing around its a very easy way of learning the ins and outs, now i can comfortably put a quick mix together etc!

you can find more info about the software here! http://www.virtualdj.com/

this is what im getting for xmas

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hercules-4780474-DJ-Console-RMX/dp/B0012GS2T2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1228326884&sr=8-1

all of my music is MP3's so i just use this software becuase its cheap and easy, no CD's or Vinyls! alot of people think its not real DJing and i agree but like i said its abloody good programme to start

http://www.jbsmusic.co.uk/view/1166/

2 x Poineer CDJ-1000 MK3 + Pioneer DJM 600.

Also a Cambridge Audio amp & some KEF speakers (cant remember the model)

Burn all my tracks to cd and yes i have a cd case that cold 240 cds, each cd has around 7-10 tracks on. Not really hard to find stuff as the newest stuff at the back, older stuff at the front Plus playing out 2/3 times a week you just learn what tracks are on what cd, and where.

because i wanted that mixer with the effects really, and thats the lowest standard mixer they have in clubs. I want the DJM-800 but cant be arsed to fork out £1200. I also have my tv and my pc running through the mixer, which goes to my amp, makes things easier.

Oh and using PC software to mix isnt real djing People who play live using Ableton mixing different elements from their tracks/other peoples tracks is real djing (ish)
