you are unemployed but want to spend 5-6k on a car
This is the point I'm making, a decent car with all mod cons in decent condition can be had for very little money. If I was unemployed I wouldn't have a 5/6k car.

yeah id pick something up for around a grand at the most, then when you get a job , if you can afford it get a nicer car then.
thats the thing though, i dont want to buy a shed an then be able to afford something better in a month or 2. Which is why I'm asking for around 5k

corsa c 1.3td, cheap tax, probably cheap to insure, cant be that much money. Remember that in this climate its going to be hard to shift a motor. Good luck

just because a car costs around £1000 doesnt mean its a shed, if you look at one that is, dont buy it and look at another. its not hard to find a good car for that kind of money.

She hasn't got a job for starters mate, not going to be cheap to keep that on the road.

If a 172 has had the cambelt done it'll be surprisingly cheap to keep on the road actually.
You'll be lucky if you get 6k for the polo though so you'll need to drop another couple of k to go cheaper.

Motorpoint had some 1L Toyota Yaris 57 plate with little miles for 5-6k-ish a few weeks ago when I was looking for my sister - Bargain!!
I dont see how selling yours & buying something else for 5-6k will save much money though!! :buggle:
