Grrrrr you know i hate that word.... toning!

If your cutting/losing bodyfat then yes you limit your food amounts to average size every 3 hours etc, but at 8.5 stone he needs to eat like a horse every 3 hours

Your Mrs calls you fat for being 11 stone? How nice of her lol. She'd think I'm obese as I'm 5'10 and about 14.5 stone.

As Adz says it sounds like you've got a reasonably slim frame but are carrying a bit of excess fat. Get on a sensible weights programme and start eating.

BMI doesn't account for more than average lean muscle imo

And you think someone at 8.5 stone has more than average lean muscle?

In this case BMI is correct because at 8.5 stone theres not much there at all, so its underweight.

That's true but it's pretty accurate for the average person. However for bodybuilders and people who train BMI is a load of balls.

8.5 stone... jesus

i'm 12 stone and still get called skinny! and i'm about 5'11''

i put on two stone by eating yoghurt, fruits, meat and generally just eating more throughout the day. was over a period of about 2 years though as my metabolism is crazy fast.

I'd keep it simple, eat a healthy balanced diet, aim for 5+ fruit and veg a day, base your meals on carbs like you are meant to. If you have a poor apetite, a bit of alcohol can increase it (dont get carried away like!) I'd never say avoid cardio, go for a balance, the heart is your most important muscle, it might be that if you started exercising it might boost your apetite, it is really hard to say without knowing the full variables. Have you been to the doctor? if so did he mention your weight? If you haven't been it might be a good first port of call to be honest, always worth a check.

dianabols, anadrol, and some hard working. anti oestrogens to stop u gettin tits and job done jk lol

real answer - healthy eating and often, lots of working out and consistency, if u have a bad day then dont stop and carry on, dont expect major differences right away and dont weigh urself everyday as it will showing nothing. i have managed to put on nearly a stone in 5 weeks from healthy eating and working out, u can tell its been put on properly and not just a one stone beer gut.

eat small and often, you will struggle to cope with eating more than you are used to if you go balls deep from day one. You have to build yourself up to it, start with an apple or something in between meals and eventually your appetite will grow

i have exactly the same problem mate. I'm about 9st 8lb and i just cannot put weight on. Its a lot harder then some people realise, they just think its a case of stuffing yourself and you'll pile it on but its not like that.

Im 10 stone, always been considered thin and I know I am. I agree with the above statement, ive always tried to put weight on, gone through phases of trying harder but nothing seems to work. All my friends are jealous though because I can eat massives amounts of shit and never put any weight on.

Ye laughing at how your pissing all your money away. Those type of protein shakes are a bit of a quick fix and bad for you aswell.

Ye you might start bulking up and putting weight on fairly quickly but you will also loose your mass a lot quicker than if you put it on naturally, especially if you stop working out for awhile. They can also often cause bad side effects such as bad skin, bad breath or BO.

I'm sure a lot of you will disagree with what I'm saying but I've learnt this through experience and through other PT's experience aswell.Just eating healthily and regularly and going gym regularly will be the best way to put on weight .

how can it give you side effects its just protein and carbs lol well other than smelly gas but all protein does this.

why wud he lose weight faster if he stops taking this than if he stops eating correctly.

supplements like this just give the user an extra large dose of calories and protein which is essential when bulking up if he stops taking this after he puts on weight but still eats enough calories to maintain his weight he wont lose anything.

you lose mass regardless if you stop working out/eat poor.

Because its all artificial,it can't be the same as natural proteins from foods as its a manufactured powder.

I'm not saying that this is all fact, just my opinion, but I've found when I was taking protein supplements although I was bulking up quicker if I didn't go to the gym for a week or 2 I'd lose a lot more mass than I do now and I don't take any supplements etc. now.

I see what your saying though and I'm sure a lot of people will swear by protein shakes etc. but I'd rather do it all naturally

I don't know what that cyclone stuff is but whey protein isn't artificial.
