To be fair to yourself she did tell you she was going to be with someone on that night, so if she was doing so, she wanted to hurt you with it and if it wasn't true (like you say) then it was a lame attempt to make you jealous or wind you up so either way she was wrong in the first instance and provoked you to intrude her friend.
