i've got one mate, love it. I get bout 450 to the tank mostly based on town driving on the motorway i've seen 56, but it depends how you drive. Its great with a remap, mine has a remap, decat, pd160 and a panel filter, not sure of bhp but i'm gettin it rolling roaded soon. Bad bits about the car, the interior gets dirty too easy and the waterpump/ cambelt must be changed after 40k, the waterpump's have plastic impellers and are known to fail. All round great car to be honest so much better than my corsa was!

agreed with john, although the brakes and handling can be abit suspect at times, depends on your driving style though!

Thanks Ronaldhino, most on Autotrader are around the 30-50k mark, so unless it's in the service history I'm looking at getting it done straight away. That is good miles to the tank. I heard if you fit cruise control you can get like 80mpg??
I did think that about the interior being creamy colour, suppose if you keep on top of cleaning it, it's ok.
I haven't done any quotes yet, but considering I got a quote of £1400 FC on a LCR (225bhp) this should be lower.

Handling can be sorted with the arb, set of 312mm TT brakes are amazing, both well worth the money.

there my next to mods! Oh and some tt comps. I pay 440 a year fc, 24 years old, 1 ncb and 1 sp30. So pretty good, alot cheaper than my 1.6 sport was. The torque in gear is great!

alot of people get a seat surgeons retrim on the seats, which is a nice mod but quite pricey at £800+. Test drive a remapped one and you won't be disappointed, also watch out for harsh remaps, the clutch can handle up to 300 ft/lb torque, best getting a sachs one if you've got big plans.

The warning buzzer when you leave the lights on and get out the car failed, after them spending over a week replacing bits it ended up being the body control module, which they coded wrongly and my brake lights didn't work.
Water gets in around the back door seals, I had them and the whole interior carpet replaced.
Can't remember what else I had it in for, it was all replaced under warranty anyway but the customer service from the skoda garage I used was shocking, especially since I bought the car from them.

yes leaking door seals are quite a common problem, haven't got round to doing mine yet. I also find my local dealers to be shocking!

Oh shit I'd say the seal failing is a big fault
I presume you can buy the trim or whatever it is that seals it and replace it by yourself? Can't be something Skoda need to do surely?
I reckon I'd buy from a dealer again for the warranty.

Skoda replaced mine under warranty, its inside the door cards, you can do it yourself but easier if they do, it's not that bbig a fault, just lets some water in.

I count that as a big fault when you need to replace the entire interior carpet
I'd do it myself tbh, or wonder if that could be a demand when buying it

You don't have to replace it, mine wasn't water damaged or anything, was just something they were doing and I didn't complain.

I had a toss up between the Fabia Vrs and my Ibiza FR and I chose the Ibiza, its an insurance group lower than the Fabia a little better on fuel I thought aswell (this was based on the test drives so not too accurate) however I can get upto 600miles from a tank when taking it easy and generally get around 500miles with a fair bit of spirited driving. I was getting a reading of 33.5 mpg over a 60 mile trip which I was being very naughty on.
The only thing the Fabia has over the Ibiza imo is 5 doors. I don't need 5 doors so it would be the Ibiza every time for me. Just don't look forward to the constant tyre changes

I had 0 ncb (company car driver for 3 years though) 3 points for being on the phone and was only 20 and got mine for £410 with CIS. My renewal quote is £550 though

Well think about it. I imagine it takes 15 quid to fill yours?
And how many miles to a tank do you do?

So you are giving it some , but your no full throttle 24/7 and as fast as the bike can go.....
And it you are doing 120 mile to 15 litres (3.5 gallon approx) thats about 35 mpg.
So its not going to do 35mpg at a constant 170 mph

i've got the Ibiza 130PD and i've got 59mpg on a run. Hammer it and it will drop to 30 but thats still really good. On short trips 50/50 with mixed driving i've had anything averaging from 42 - 53 ish. They're good cars, my favorite thing is the smoke when you accelerate!

Why does the Ibiza do more MPG with the same engine? I can't understand that?
I presume being the same engine it will be as tuneable? E.G. Remap?
