Well I'm only guessing.. I've not got much of my interior left And I know the 1.8 block is something like 8kg heavier than the 1.2..
Plus mine started life as a MERIT so I've got no PAS, no ABS, minimal sound deadening.. etc.

Actually have to say I find it hard to believe it weighed as much as you say when they came out of the factory weighing 845kg And theres got to be more than 100kg of stuff shifted from that motor..

I still don't believe Corsa B 1.2's weighed over 100kg less than a GSi. The engines and extra sound deadening doesn't weight anything like that.
Plus your 1.8 16v will weigh more than the smaller lumps.
Is got to be aroudn 900kg I think. Sounds like a laugh though, and I know these 1.8 engines really respond well to the right tuning.

I fail to see how it can weigh 750kg. My xe'd corsa has polycarb windows, 2 grp buckets, grp tailgate and bonnet... and weighs in at 856kg. People should STFU about their car weights unless theyve had it on a weighbridge IMO. Its all conjecture otherwise.

1.8 is only a few kg's heaver than the 1.2... The block is around the same size, its only the head that is bigger and thats made of ally

Aye but doors and windows and bootlid weigh a fair bit.
I'd just say get it on a weightbridge as no buggers going to listen about the weight until it has been weighed.
But if your's is as stripped as JR's, then I do think you'll be looking at low 800's, but it won't be in the 700's without some serious serious weight removal, inner doors, fibre glass body components, silly light wheels etc...
