to put things in perspective, my m3 is the same on fuel as my astra was.

For some reason tho i would have another? They are great value for money, look great. Most have leather. Lots of toys a nice car. You could do far worse!

For driving CTR or ST170

For all round good build and tunablility I would go for the Leon Cupra

I had an Astra GSi mk4 it wasnt awfull just never really inspired me to pick the keys up and take it for a drive...just got boring after a few months.

I get shit mpg out of my astra! about 18mpg on general hardish driving

If I drive like a granny i can get 36mpg (according to trip computer)

The handlings fun! Just like the old Mk2 Astras, they love a bit of lift off oversteer, round the ring I had no problem showing up so called sports cars!

i think most people are missing the point here

im not looking for a fast/good handling car

the astra would never out handle.be faster than the corsa's going to be,

i can get hold of one, for hopefully sub £2k with a blown turbo 55k on 02 reg

fix it, blast it around for a while, sell it.

Oh i saw that one for sale,

I thought about it, but seemed a little too cheap as you can pick up new vxr turbos in the £400
