That actually uses more fuel as being in neutral, the engine uses more fuel to stop it stalling. What you actually want to do is just slow down in gear.

You get further coasting than in gear though

Fuck knows really - I'm just going on what Clarkson said when he got from London to Edinburgh on 1 tank of fuel

its about 23mpg
i calculated that that is approx 8km per litre of fuel. i get around 10-12 in a 1.2 8v. so for an rx-7 it is really good imho

Thanks
I don't even know what I get to a tenner these days, never ever just put a tenner/twenty in any of my cars, just fill em right up.
And that gets me 350 miles (35 litres).

ive just done 240 to a full tank in the vts (40litre?) not sure what mile per gallon that was and that was mixed driving and letting it warm up before all journey for 2/3 minutes or more
WORKED OUT AS 23MPG!!
need to get the fat drained out might right foot as it appears to be heavy

you let your car sit there for 3 minutes or more before you start driving it every time?
wtf
you're better off driving it without thrashing the bollocks off it until the temperature gets up.

Don't ever just start a car and leave it, it's drinking fuel idling!
Jump in, start and go steady till the water/oil has warmed up

pow how heavy is your right foot?
cause i get atleast 100miles more to a tank than you and that cant be just because you have 30bhp more.

If I did motorway miles with the cruise sat on 70 I could get it into the low 60s.
Generally, sat at 80-85, I get 56.4, but the bulk of my milage is town milage
