They're GM aren't they? They use some shitty chassis off of some 50 year old shitty American truck. It's cars like these that symbolise why I think Americans can't design cars or engines, or nearly anything for that matter, for shit.

they have completly different design briefs over british/euro designers....

cheap fuel, straight wide roads....

Although in general terms.... parts of the US i have visted are, in my opinion, verging on 3rd world! Not the most intelligent people in general either.

But why on earth they are still getting briefs to make cars to extend men's dicks so much it's beyond me. 4mpg, you're joking, fuels cheap stateside, but not that cheap.

All the more reason to get some Germans in to make them V8 that will do 60-70mpg on the motorway and to stop building 4 tonne tanks and start building nice light weight saloons and fake 4x4's because they're so into them.

designed on a 50yr old chassis or not, tits a hugely succsesful military vehicle, very effective it meets the criteria they designed it for. One thing americans have triumphed at for decades is designing a military vehicle that can be shot/blown to peices and still function.

Obviously the road/civilian use, is just a gimmick for those who can afford it. Its not a mass produced vehicle like a Range Rover
