get Some NRT (patches and what not), sorts the nicotine addiction part out, then its a case of breaking the habits that you have formed.

Definately the habit you form is harder to give up than the nicotine IMO

I gave it up 6 1/2 months ago and feel great for doing it...I despise it now, BUT i did crack on sunday night when drunk and had a drag on a mates cigarette. I can happily say I dont miss it at all but it was an awsome way to chat up birds when you were out round town

I've made a conscious effort to cut down.
And sometime go weeks between cigarettes.
But, I enjoy smoking, very much so, and will continue smoking the occasional cigarette when it takes my fancy!

People slate me as I spend my days telling people to cut down/stop. One of those do as I say, not as I do situations!

I have found it impossible to stop completely, been down to 1 a day but couldn't not have that 1. Every nightclub with an oldish carpet stinks like fuck without the smoke to mask the smell, Ibiza in the summer was heaven as you could smoke where you liked.

You'll need a husky voice when you are lead guitarist/singer in a new rock band

I've only ever smoked rollies, and that was to ease myself off the weed, I stopped after about a week of smoking them.
