decent oil and you shit hot. And let them tick over for a min, get your hat on and rest of your equipment, then ride it gently for a couple of mins....then your sound! 2 strokes are alot better than people make out if looked after right

the fella has just txt me saying "im absolutly gutted its going oh well, ive just bought a honda 450 four"

yup it will be warmed up and looked after

what else can be done to keep them in tip top nick, how oftyen do they need servicing, and what does a service on a 2 stroke consist of?

I change the air filter before every ride, which is done after its been washed ( clean it in filter cleaner and re oil), change the gearbox oil every 2 rides( every 8 hours or there abouts), make sure the chains lubed after washing, and just check tightness of bolts and spokes. Also keep an eye on coolant level, as 2 strokes can get very hot

you can get a chain lube thing that attaches to the bike and lubes the chain as it goes through it, also as said really let it warm up!

Thats only for road bikes touring ones at that! not mx bikes!

Where do you go on it? Wouldnt mind one but dont know of anywhere to ride round here? Used to go to Runcorn years ago to a place called the Arches, but the land owner started gettin funny about it as more and more people used it.

Just on some wasteland near my mates house, we got told to move on by a security guard though at 4pm,
