One of my all time fave films Robin, the fact that all of it is true makes it even better. The interview with the real chooper on the dvd is brilliant, the guy's mental.

Jo Pesci is a brilliant actor.

I like the scene from Casino where he stabs the guy with the pen.

Also the famous scene from Goodfellas - 'Funny how?' etc!

When it comes to war films, the climax of the Battle of Britain is a fantastic scene. Not sound effects just music, works really well.

TBQH.

Funny you should put that Rob.

Watched Le Mans Saturday night and the silent drama of the startline scene is just the best thing ever.

Le Mans is a bit boring tbh, ive got it. Just doesnt really go anywhere. Have you seen grand prix? The race scene are fantastic.

Love Le Mans. It's always been slated because it doesn't have an external plotline.

You need to take it at face value though. A race, through one man's eyes and his associated thoughts and memories.

I think it really works as a piece of moody drama and as a motorsport document.

If you love racing and you're a Steve McQueen fan you can't go wrong, but it can be an aquired taste for people expecting a film that goes beyond Steve having fun with cameras and lovely cars during a fantastic period in time.

Grand Prix is a very cool film too. Haven't seen it in years and need to get it on doovd if available.
