Why wouldn't they, it's insured?all the other car makers don't seem to mind?the veyron was made for one thing only, speed. They had to spend 4 times the amount of the sale price to get it how it is, that's why they only made a limited amount, complete waste of time if you ask me.

You've answered your own question there. The words limited production mean that if it does get written off a replacement might be hard to find? Maybe??

Hard to find?they make the car's, it wouldn't be a 'big' deal if it's insured, which it obviously would have been.

why would they want to lose another 4 million or whatever it was making anther veyron?

they have nothing to prove.

it's obviously a good enough car otherwise there'd be rich arabs everywhere complaining how shit it is.

Plus having to wait for a year or two for the replacement would be a bit of a bummer.

Well they werent that botheres about losing 4 million in the first place obviously they wanted to prove something, as they wouldn't have made the car otherwise, notice how the main selling point was how fast the car is, how many bhp it has and not anything else.

It's not really though. There is a lot more to it.

Ever heard of a thing called exclusivity. If I was rich and wanted everyone to know about it, driving about in a Veyron would certainly put a lot of people in thier place.

But the main marketing for the car was based around the speed of it, its a 1 trick pony, it might be a nice car yes, fast yes, exclusive yes but it still isnt an allround 'super car'. If you put that on the track with a car a quater of its price it would get wasted.

same as saying a 106 gti would beat a 20k bmw round a track to be honest.

Totally agree with that....

But do you think anybody with £1m+ in the bank buys a car based on top gear times?

This Bugatti arguement is bollocks. The car has set a lap on the Nurburgring. Who gives a toss if they wont give a model to Top Gear. Even if it gets beatin around the track by a stripped out FXX, I'd still take the Veyron. It's an engineering masterpiece.

The marketing was actually based on the technology used to create it. 1001bhp was something Top Gear and other car mags/shows focused on and mentioned everytime they previewed the car.

That doesn't make it an allround supercar, like i said, against other supercars it would get laced round a track.

Thing is, u'd be smug sitting in your nice 1.2 million car....

Then some dude in an £800k Bugatti pulls up next to you and oblitorates you off the lights.

You feel sick....

Nice car, but 1.2 million my bottom. I'd certainly want a super dash like the lambo revonlution thingy.....

Or think.....

I could have bought my own helicopter with this. A gazelle ot something.

I know which would be more fun.

Sorry, but 1+million on a car = muppet You would need to be. Unless it could float AND fly, then another car will do the same thing for much less money. Only real attention look at me whoares, and true rich Aston marting owners are gonna buy it.

1.2 million, imagine the house you could buy with that!!!

Not only are the performance figures poor (in retrospect of whats availabe), but its not visually THAT much different from another ordinary Aston.

I'd MUCH rather purchase the 600bhp Road going GT2 Vantage DB (toned down race car) for £200k and have similar performance, then buy a Rolls Royce for comfort, and still have the change to buy an F40 as another toy

You seem to be forgetting that anyone with £1m+ to spend on a car is undoubtedly buying it 'because they can' I'm pretty sure they'd have the house and helicopter (and veyron) already in most cases
