but i know the engine is getting built by a company who are reliable and built my last two engines with the right parts adding more specs to the engine list so fingers crossed it will come back and be strong

GT Turbo looks nice but I'd rather the corsa TBH. Think he was fed up with it going bang all the time. Cant believe it's blown again. Glad it's going to be back and I hope to see it at the shows again.

...explains alot about why the car kept dying then!!

didnt think you could put them in the wrong way, they have keyed oil ways so they only fit one way, dont they

Can only be inaccurate rollers.......
You cant make the sort of power he made, at the revs he made it at, without a turbo.
IIRC it made something like 230hp at 6000rpm? Was it a standard xe on bodies??

You need a LOT of work to a xe(solid lifters/high spec cam, steel rods/high cr pistons, headwork etc etc, and about 7500-8000rpm to see that sort of power.

Look at sbd's website for whats required for a 230hp xe.

Was a cool corsa though, and a nice engine

hello people, im still about but really dont go on here much nemore. yeh the corsa is long gone. leigh had it for 3weeks before he contacted me to let me know it was dead again.
he told me the damage to the engine but he said that it was all ok on his way home, so all i hope is that it makes it back on the road again soon, and wish him better luck with it than i did. i hardley ever drove it hard cause i was scared of breaking it lol.

im loving my new car tho, its saved me roughly £500 in one month of owning it compaired to the corsa. my 5 isnt running stupid power (roughtly 140bhp) on a t25 turbo and 15psi. other than that its a std engine, but.... this will be changing as i got a few goodies with the car lol.

my aim is to make a nippy r5 that is reliable, and it can be done as i wont be running stupid power like my bros 217bhp 256ft.lbs 1.4 lol

vauxlad - the cam were QED cams. i contacted qed about them and they reckoned that the cams must of been reprofiled at some point, as the q42h wouldnt make the power that i was making. i bought them second hand lol
