Remember the fuel costs Stu, you think your TVR's bad, goes in gallons per mile, not miles per gallon when the right foot gets heavy.
Worth every penny though. 
Get a barge slow diesel car.....
Then buy a bike, and know what real acceleration is

To be honest Ive got my heart set on one now, got to be an estate too I think! Remap with 500 ponies and Ill be very happy!!!

Dont listen to this chump.
Petrol is the last thing to worry about when you have already ran a TVR. Also it'll be more bearable and usable every day. One of my clients has an RS4 Avant (the earlier 2.7 Turbo) and thats rocking on for 140k miles!
Also jr mentioned to me the rear brakes on my Clio cost more than a set on an RS4...

Beware, bloke I go on PH runs with sold a new M5 for a new Nissan GTR and got an 04 RS6 for about £25k... hes had nothing but trouble with it

25k is SO much money for a 4 year old car.
I couldn't bring myself tp spend that much on a 2nd hand car unless it was from a build number of no more than 200 and was banned from international rallying.
