This is the trouble everytime he says something along those lines i keep thinking he is just buttering me up making me feel special telling me what i want to hear!! Playing it cool is the best way i think i wont be putting out unless it feels right and at the moment it doesn't

Well, it'd bother me if I was with a bird who'd been fucked by the five-thousand. I imagine it's the same the other way round. It's a consideration to make.
