There's an element of truth in needing to be a total badger to be a designer.

Lucky I wanted to be a CAD Designer instead.

I never decided what I wanted to do tbh, I just kind of ended up where I am and don't mind it tbh and now I feel like it's the route I need to be following given I am not particularly (100%) passionate about anything else. My job is exactly that though a job, I like to content myself outside of work with beer and female company

Mine was originally an Electrician. Due to no-one wanting to train a level 2 person up i went onto Engineering and I'm now a CAD Technician for an international Engineering consultancy. I do bridges mainly but a bit of p-way too.

I fancied being a fireman (dont all young boys?) then kind of forgot about it & went into the oil & gas industry.

Cash wise im better off, less dangerous aswell.

I thought i would fall into engineering out of school, which i did, but in a crappy field which put me off the whole industry.
I didn't have a second option, and kind of fell into what i'm doing now. I could make a career out of it, but it's just a job really.

I want to be a tree surgeon/arborist, but it's too late for me to start at the bottom in that now with financial commitments.

Yup. My old man is a fireman too.

Attempted to get in a few times, but kept being fobbed off and seeing the blacks, gays and females get recruited i.e - the minority.

No idea really, never knew what I wanted to do as a career..

I had two choices when I left school, IT or Bodyshop, worked in a bodyshop until I got into IT, both pretty shit but IT pays better

I'd love a career change to something interesting but im lazy and would rather just win the lottery so no job will ever interest me that much

Planned to be a fireman, failed
Planned to become a police driver, failed
So now stuck in IT, becoming an Engineer in a few weeks time....full aim is to either have my own company, or become a driver of some sort. I really have no life ambition.

I didn't have a first choice job, hence why I'm stuck doing a job which I don't really enjoy. Apart from the fact I'm helping the family business.

You deserve to be unhappy when you're as sexy as you are. It's all about balance.

Hmm.
