Jesus, the part is about £30 and its a 5 minute job to fit it. I don't know how some places get away with this stuff.

i can sort of understand that if its book time of say 4 hours to do the chain
but i would have everything done, as what happens if the chain doesnt fix it ? your be paying again for the tensioner

i did a chain/tentioners/sprokets sump gasket and cover plate gasket last week at work and that came to about 400 - 450 .. but we dont charge vauxhall labour

Either way i couldnt get the car home as it stopped working. I was 2 mins from vauxhalls so got them to look at it. At least the work at VAUXHALL (There you go john spelt it this time) is under garantee
