Racing only had 500 made.
Huge arches, bigger exhaust tailpipe, alloys.
Great handling car, but retains the pooey 1.7 Puma engine.
Getting a bit long in the tooth, quite old now, money could be better spent on a more modern faster FWD hatch.

Slightly more power than the mornal 1.7 Zetec engine, different Inlet Manifold etc.
Expensive to maintain, each service the brakes need to be completely stripped down and have new seals etc, as grit works it was into the calipers.
Bloody gorgeous though.

i recently bough a very nice low mile 1.7 puma, very gay, but an excellent drive.
looked at the racing puma but to me its not worth the extra cash.
EVO gave the puma 5 stars, and the frp 4, make of that what you will.
Damo, pooey engine?

0-60 is not a good way of measuring a cars performance at all. Just as its the legal speeds.
0-100 shows a cars true performance. Thats the reason saxos got such good 0-60 times, they only needed 2nd gear. A F20 vauxhall needs 3rd.

Last year I had the use of one for about a week, just after selling my corsa . They handle great IMO but the engine is lacklustre, again IMO- maybe this was do to the fact I was used to driving my corsa everyday though, I'm not sure. As Robin's said a few parts are very rare now and consequently ++expensive. There were 500 made, but I wouldn't exactly say it was a limited edition/the tye of car/edition to hold it's value as a result. I'd recommend taking one for a test drive, this will probably convince you that it looks better than it drives (again imo).

ive got one its honestly the best car ive ever driven could do with being a bit quicker but its not slow. geared more for accelertation than top speed but it will still get to 130 easy.
It holds the road like it is on rails and is quite hard to get it to slide in the dry!
