in a 125 it will be but in a "heavy" r6 not really, but it will be more than 33bhp becuase there is a power/weight ratio law aswell which means heavier bikes can be more powerful

Once you pass your standard motorcycle test you are restricted to machines of 25 kW (33 bhp) with a power to weight ratio of 0.16 kW/kg for two years.

no mate, your not allowed more than 33bhp is the main rule really, the other part really complicates things so is mainly ignored tbh

Don't get an SV 650. You'll get bored quickly. I know Daimo/Vxr/Rossi raves about them but get an IL4. So much more fun. I pay £400 TPFT, 22y/o, '98 r6

Definitely do that. Altho, they are a big bike, size and power wise. Is it a first bike?? Its not the bike being sensible, its the rider.

rode my dads sv and quite liked it, power delivery is very very smooth and linear, would be an awesome commuter/pleasure bike, really good compromise

All down to personal opinion i guess. I don't really like the look of them or the riding position. Couldn't fault the actual rding tho, was very smooth like you say

My dad had a 1976 unfaired black Goldwing GL1000 about 7-8 years ago, then he bought a VTR1000F Fire Storm, I loved that bike, then he swapped it for a Yamaha TDM 850, which was shit
