Computer data is quite easy to claim copyright for as it is time and date stamped on your machine.

The only issue with things like patents and copyright e.t.c.. is they are only worth what you are willing to pay for protecting them, unless you have copyright protection insurance, which I doubt you have

if you kept the EXIF data in the image it will be easyier to claim. I would contact them and threaten them with legal's etc.
