agreed, in the a38 video, to me thats fine as its not busy, room to judge etc... when its busy, espicially when you get some cock in a 1.2 clio or something going slow and there are scooby's and evo's haring about ... thats when it gets bad

what.... you mean the person that may be doing the speed limit Aye... what a cock.
Just watched a bit of the 1st vid.... Thats dangerous. There are cars double parked in the layby, with cars racing on the dualcarrigway
Its a public road. You might think its safe, but you cant account for the 60yr old woman that may pull out in front of you.

used to be some of this going on in runcorn on an industrial estate, saw afew crashes, one where the guy decided it would be best to torch his own car and tell the police it was stolen
the police then started attending and just driving up and down the "strip" so nobody could race. it was dangerous alright though one road wide enough for 2 cars then people parked up on either side right next to cars ragging past them at god knows what speed. its moved recently though i think, not sure where to mind

Theres a place in dumfries known as "the glen" you come of a round about and theres a steep climb then a steep descent into another roundabout, you go right round it and come back. its about 3.5 miles. It generally is quite safe at night when the roads quiet. The problem is theres a climbing lane going west bound then the road changes to dual carriage way.
However about 18 months ago 3 young lads who had their liscences about a month cumulatively decided it would be a good idea to try it mid afternoon, insue a huge crash, caused by one of them overtaking going the wrong way in the climbing lane. The consequences were three deaths and prison sentences for the drivers. I think that one of them got about 10 years.
Now there is a camera van parked there pretty much 24/7, which is fair enough imo. Things like the vid posted are relitively safe, but bad things happen when people start to be silly in cars.

in hinckley we have the perimeter road, could be made into a duel carriage way. But since some lads in a Metro GTI supposedly filmed them selfs doing 140mph on it the police are there most the time, the police really think the GTI did that speed to its stupid.

Some lad who I know (absolute scum of the earth might I add) found out his gearbox was knackered in his vectra, got pissed up in his house the same night, went outside at 3am smashed the window let off the handbrake, filled it with petrol and pushed it all of 30 yards down his road and torched it
AND he got away with it

I cant believe this sort of stuff goes on. It looks so dangerous. That Hams Hall vid is a joke, lining up for a drag race straight after a roundabout. Im sure all the chavs grinning from the centre reservations dont attract the police either

I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free.
