What the hell are you selling with that many watchers?

I normally let auctions run, then with 10-15 seconds to go I sniper them with what I am prepared to pay, most people seem to try to bid above the highest amount by a quid or two each time for some daft reason. It's pretty rare that I don't win an auction like that.

I do contact sellers for an 'end now price' that have an auction that ends at a time where I would be at work (do 4 on, 3 off so long days) because I am only supposed to have 'net access during breaks and it isn't worth risking m job for, plus I am not prepared to smack my maximum bid in the night previous due to wankers who shill bid. I contacted a guy about a Lotus Exige steering wheel due to the above factors.

Sniping is a good approach but ultimately the way to win stuff is to pay more than everyone else, whenever you do it.

The way to not be shilled is to bid lower.

IMHO I always ask, becuase the guy might want 500, which I think is cheap, so give him 500, but someone else will bid 600 easy. Get in early and get a bargin! Never end my own auctions ealy as I am greedy...
