How the feek do you manage that? £51 = 40 litres? 600 miles to 40 litres is like 63MPG. All motorway driving? I'd be keeping the Ibiza if I could do 63MPG in it. My average is around 46

I used to get about 29/30mpg in my 1993 1.2 8v corsa; my 2001 1.8T (150hp) Audi A3 returns 42.1mpg with the same* driving style

There is only one driving style in a 1.2 8v Corsa. Slow.

no; the outcome is slow - the driving style tends to be in the upper rev range to achieve similar speeds.
Ie it takes me 1 hour to get to work every day give or take 2/3minutes. I couldn't get to work any faster ebcause of traffic - It took the same time in the corsa as it does in the Audi so my average speed is 31mph.
However, in the corsa as soon as you got to the slightest hill you had to drop 1 or even 2 gears to maintain the same speed and as such the fuel economy was crap.
The Audi on the other hand maintains the same speeds but at much lower revs/gear changes/etc and as such uses far less fuel

Digital clock says 59.6 MPG since I last filled up, I guess the tank could have had some in it when I filled up meaning it's a bit more than £51 worth but you get the idea.
All i've done is drive to work and back, and two motorway trips to ikea. Drive to work is about 15miles on a 60mph 'A' Road, and I've been driving like a granny.
Since remapping my economy has gone through the roof

1.2 8v engines require raping everywhere to get any sort of decent progress made.
Having said that, I get 100 miles to £50 in my 1.3
