depends what im typing and how long iv been typing for (this is all touch typing but im still quite slow atm). If i've been typing for a while then im quite quick but not if im copying something

i cant, i look at the keyboard but i don't actually look for the letters just kind of stare at it whilst typing.

I always touch type. I didn't actually realise it until now, but I've not looked down as I've been typing since I was back at school. Takes me a while to get used to a new keyboard, but even then, I still never look down. I make a mistake, erase it, and keep trying until i get the right key even if it takes me forever

Wow, you've unearthed the total geek in me. I think my average touch typing word count is 70-80 words a minute... That's just a guess by the way at the speed im typing now.

Yep, mostly because im usually typing late at night with no lights on.

laptop keyboards throw me off though.

Yeah i touch type, but then every now and again (usually after starting to type after not having done for a few mins) i make sht loads of mistakes and have to look down to figure out where to put my hand again to be able to carry on again properly

im a whizz on the number pad, never have to look at the keys, comes with working in account for the past 10 years

The oldies in my office really don't have a clue. They're all there smacking their keyboards with two fingers and it drives me mad!!!

I added a networked printer for somebody the other day and it was like I'd re-invented the wheel infront of his eyes

It depends on what keyboard im using at the time to be honest, keyboards that i am on quite often i can easily touch type but ones that im not used i sometimes get a key to the left or right to much..

I find also if i miss a key or type a wrong one, i have to look down and see where my fingers are at the time

did this by touch typing with my eyes shut. hope it comes out good because its going to look bad if it comes out saying all sorts of shite haha.
