I've never understood why people bother putting that engine in a car that way round. It heavy, old and bulky, there's literally no space to do anything, look at the pipework, it's ridiculous.

It's also expensive to tune in comparison to some engines because of the Cosworth tax, and it involves a lot of pointless fab work which would be avoided by using a different engine (Zetec, for example)

If it was just a normal Pinto, no-one would be impressed.

whats the setup with the engine that way round? i assume it has some type of transfer box.

It was all rs lumps in them back in the day can remember my m8 wrapped one up into a bus at kilburn

Bet that is lethal to drive on full chat

Probably an Escort RST gearbox.

It's probably not all that fast either, with a massive lump of pig iron wedged into the front end.
