TBH, the engine is the best thing about the ST.

They are awesome bits of kit with a little bit of tuning, I'd have one if I could afford one.

However, the 500 is a MASSIVE marketing gimmick IMO, black with silver stripes and nothing more really to it, not sure if they're asking more money for it, but if they are it's a waste.

to be fair yes theyre not that fast, but the focus is the more expensive fast one! if the fiesta was faster it would probably be closer to focus price and have higher insurance and the target market would be priced out

put a corsa xe and a fiesta st down a country laneand see which car wins

outright speed isn't everything, and isn't always needed

spend £100 on suspension for a corsa xe and it won't handle aswell as a fiesta st on eibach springs.

but yes, they are disappointing in standard trim, not a bad car though.

st500 is just a gimmick which i think is sick of ford to do.

£15k when i went to the stealers to get the focus. wheels looked nice in black and the carbon effect bits inside looked good, but not worth the money. you can get a brand new focus st for 15k.

I agree with Paul, they are comparable to Corsa GSI speed wise. I reckon fully stripped they might be fun.
