Alex, you drove a 182, i had my amtes type R for a day, and prefer the 182 in all areas other than the gearbox feel.... nothing wrong with my box, just the type R is a closer ratio..
are you keeping the 182?
Yes keeping it now .

from memory thats just because your getting rid of the restrictive airbox, not just down to adding a £500 bit of paper/foam/gauze

AK I would of thought you of all people would understand the principle of having a decent air filter with a proper cold air feed?
ALOT of civic owners have this filter, one of the only ones to give proven gains everytime.

VTEC wont kick in any quicker, it's set to come in at a certain amount of revs and will do religeously.
I have a K&N typhoon on my CTR and after a quick blast the pipe is roaring hot, so you know that heat is getting transfered to the air entering the TB

Yup it's a placebo.
That intake matched with a decent manifold, exhaust system and a remap would see >240bhp, not bad for a 2.0 N/A

My mate used to have a VR6 golf MK3 before ctr and he had a carbonio CAI and that was infront of the wheel arch on the drivers side and what he did was build a metal sheild to stop water and shit getting in and was still getting cold air through the front bumper vent

you would be looking at around £1300 for one of those GruppeM's on an M3.
