I thought I was going mad when I started noticing this lately. If I'm out washing my car in the street I'll smile/say hello to people that walk past walking dog or whatever, sometimes I just get completely blanked...

I think appreciation is important too. You can say 'thanks' to anyone but if they know you appreciate what they did then thats amazing.

Big pet hate of mine, it costs absolutely nothing to say please and thank you and in fact it makes me feel good to acknowledge someone has done me a good turn in the first place.

Agreed. I called the guy who did the work on my car yesterday, never met him, dad arranged it all for me, but he's done such a good job I wanted to thank him personally.

End result is he's happy, I'm happy, and I get an amazing quote for whenever I want my car resprayed. Top bloke.

Trip them fuckers up Jam. A mouthful of carpet tile plus a bent nose and some loose teeth may change their attitude.

I hate when someone puts their hand out for something and doesn't make eye contact or say thanks, I mean are they higher class or something, beneath them perhaps?. People like that should be set on fire.

Low five them, I wish I'd done that so much when I worked in Sainsbury's, cracking up just thinking of doing it

Agreed with everything in this topic, I always hold the door that split second, wave if someone lets me through even though its their right of way etc, when i worked in a shop if they didn't say thanks or anything i just used to really emphasise the words "your welcome".
Used to have one customer middle age who was a right ignorant fuck, never said a word, shows its not just a generational thing.

Another one - Letting someone past/go into your lane, and they don't even bother to put their hand up to say a quick thankyou

I hate it when you walk into work and the place is an absolute tip, theres no change in the float and the shop smells of dust!

I also hate it when you get paid a measley amount of wage to basically do two peoples jobs!

I also hate customers who bring £20 notes in for a 1.50 bloody pence sunbed!!!!!!!

I do that when people don't say thanks.

I find it just as bad when driving and you let people out or through and they don't say thanks.
