My wife left me about 3 1/2 months ago and it's shit but like Adam said just try and keep busy. Get out with your mates and just have a bit of fun.

Best way as stated, avoid all contact take up a new hobbie i.e Gym, Project on car and set yourself small goals to acheive and spend as much time with family and friends and soon you will be onwards and upwards!

The only problem with avoiding all contact is because you don't see them for ages, their re-emergence has an impact because you've not seen them for so long, my ex gf split with me ages ago, I was gutted but I have the 'life goes on' attitude, we kept in touch and didn't fall out but the more I kept trying to be just mates the easier it got until eventually she became like a sister to me, we're still good friends now and joke about our past relationship, I'm happy with a little family, she's moved on also.
