Exactly, LAME.
I can't see many performance development using any secret engine tuning that would need hiding. Sure the twin turbo LET Calibra, all home made, lots of custom made stuff. Somone bunging in an old engine in an old car is hardly the same as a huge company unvailing a new model. The difference between a few hundred quid, and a few million quid.
A corsa C, with a LET, or LEH, with phase/chip n tune really isn't warrant of keeping a secret.
AS i said, they are lame, everyone who's kept secrets always has been lame
IMO of course as this is CS

well funny you should say that as we have 4 over 300bhp corsa c's up for it, a few over 250 and load's over 200
so no, we dont need anymore
problem was the location, brunter's will only let 12 car's out onto the test track, that would mean 6 of each which imo is far too less, i was hopeing for 12 of each and a good variety of engine's and car's
atm it's on hold
i have over 220
lbs ft. can i play

Some companies like to keep these specs and details secret as then people dont copy them. A certain company that make a lot of performance parts for the vauxhall engines are really bad for this, they sell a valve spring seat that is so secret they dont give you the dimensions so that you have to buy the part from them. When it arrives its nothing more than a steel washer but it costs £80 for 16 of them.
I look at things a different way, I tell everyone about the spec and sizes of my products, and they sell. Would I sell more if I was so secretive? probably not but they would sound a lot better if my 90mm spings used technical words like: "Cold wound and progressively rated to a specific poundage that has had extensive researched and developed bla bla bla...
no, they are a 6" x 225 lb spring that are made from steel and powder coated black and make the back of a corsa look low. The same goes for my cams, engine parts, throttle body manifolds.....

Its not secret as such, its just nobody talks about them much and the people that do have the knowledge dont want to share it as it makes them feel special.
