Seriously, must we have the "its so scripted" comments EVERY week. I know it. You know it. Most of CS knows it. No need to keep on saying it

Everything is soooooo scripted
It's just tailored to be a 'entertainment / funny show' - no longer about the cars. However it falls flat on it's face as they aren't comedians and it's foundations are not built on comedy. So the gags are obviously scripted and getting very stale.
Yes I still watch it and yes many will still enjoy it, but I think they should finish the show and start a new one again, like how it was 5 series ago. No celebrity guests, no scripted shit, just cars, adventures (unscripted) and car related chat.
So true. I do love top gear though. I like to watch top gear for the entertainment and fifth gear for the car reviews

definately. they had him on camera throughout his laps but they didnt catch the bit where he rolled it.
the tow rope bit was funny in the alfa challenge part 3. where clarkson was hiding the tow rope with his motor.

Indeed some bits are scripted but believe it or not its a TV show which needs to be planned and have a SCRIPT to follow so it all goes smoothly??
Some bits like when they apparently arrived late were so obviously staged, as with Clarkson's car rolling but still its good humour.
Other bits like Hammond crashing into May looked real as he was getting so pisssed off
Overall I dont think you can beat Top Gear even if it is getting a bit repetitive its still one of the best TV shows IMO.

Pretty good episode, certainly better than the last two, but this series so far is lacking something - the production seems a little flat and boring, no flashy camera shots and effects etc. Although i thought the SIARPC fell flat on it's face this week....

tbh, that is a bit strong. If you think Top Gear was stale, you should watched the karaoke shit on ITV1 on a Saturday night

I don't mean in comparison to the other garbage that is on there, I mean the fact that the format is old, the jokes are recycled and the humour is schoolyard at best.

I liked those two in G&S but I'm not sure whether they were not interviewed well or they actually didn't have much to say.
Not sure if it's just me either but I've noticed that Jeremy comes across like he's forgotten their names. Did it last week as well.

I thought the same. Referring to them as "you" and "you" whilst pointing.

paul.j i do agree in some respects but end of the day if you want broing driving shows watch fifth gear or something, to me i may be wrong but top gear for me has seen a gap in the viewing for some comedy.....
end of the day who cares what top speed a ferarri 360 will do potentially 90% of us if this is a ccurate percentage will never own one and clarkson trying to describe one is still no use to someone like me, if you have the money for a supercar you will go test drive one for yourself.
so why not make the show scripted and commical cant beat it
go watch fifth gear
