why dont you take out an insurace policy, and just cancel it for free before the 30 days is up?
You can't cancel it for free. You have to pay the first big deposit and you won't get that back.
I did this with the Corsa, a week's insurance to get it taxed etc cost me £50ish.
Just watch the small print, you could get stung if youve set up a direct debit etc.

Find an insurance company that says you can cancel within 14days of taking out the policy. I did this once, i got charged the admin fees which i was happy with
I take it you have 2 years no claims?
Just do a quote that has the 2 years NCB on it, and if it asks how long you've been driving, say 2 years, because technically, you have. ie learning to drive
My policy runs out on 5th Nov, i passed on the 9th nov, doesnt make any difference to me when i say 2 years when its 3 days short, i was even with bell once
