no
1.6 foced induction vs 1.6 forced induction would be fair.
There's no way you can say a 1.6 turbo vs a c20xe would be fair, regardless of figures on paper, etc.
Be like Mike Tyson vs Amir Khan.

If something like this was ever done again I think the rules should simply be
A RWYB day, Corsas vs Saxos or Corsa B's vs Corsa C's for stavs
Then you get to see a whole range of differnt specs / designs and can really see what works and what doesnt and would really prove whats better overall.
Thats my opinion anyway

thing is everyone knows all ready who would win .
Straight line the big c20let corsa's would win.
Round a track it would be quite close.. its only worth doing if on track, unless you want braggin rights.

totally agree, if it was equal then it would be like driver vs driver, not saxo vs corsa

which is pretty much pointless
i would rather see saxo vs corsa, in various disaplins
than driver vs driver

why not
you have a day where Top speed, 1/4 mile, 1/8th mile, lap time and a saloom (sp)
then it shows the strenght and weekness of each car/engine

a standard vts shouldn't be allowed in, it should be modded cars

Fair point a 400 bhp corsa would beat a 200 bhp saxo IMo round a track, due to straight line speed

your right that wouldnt be fair, but they could look at the cars and specs and make a judgement on whats good enough to race each other

Rob, read what im writing
if anything did happen, there will be variosu disaplins
yeah a LET might win a 1/4mile, but an 1/8th of a mile, and a saloom, highly doubt it

arrggggg, stop inventing a competition that doest exsist
you wouldnt pick who racers who
you have say 4 diffrent events
the fastest round them all wins, it might be a corsa, it might be a saxo

Yes but the whole idea of a rwyb day is to see what people have done to the cars, if a 400bhp corsa LET turns up fair play, why cant a 400bhp saxo turn up......
End of the day rwyb corsa vs saxo - anything goes, but obviously with differnt aspects like JR said.

I'm not inventing anything just going off what mobby said that its the driver not the car that will win, so was trying to show him the car would play a big part...
i'd come and spectate should be good.

cause there are no 400 bhp saxo's they all run 1.6's as there is no readily available 2ltr conversion like with a corsa.

no i said i didnt want it to be fair ie 1.6 vs 1.6 i wanted it to be any corsa from cs and any saxo from a saxo forum for example.
like fruit booter and jr said, its about what people have done, i dont remeber saying its the driver that will win
